(1) Modern and ancient tidal sedimentation and related physical, geomorphological, biological, geochemical and geotechnical processes

(2) Tidal coastal dynamics and stability of mangroves, coral reefs, and salt-marshes

(3) Tidal sedimentary facies and reservoir characteristics(for oil, gas and fresh water)

(4) Tide-related delta and coast development, and human impacts

(5) Monitoring and numerical modeling of tidal hydrodynamics, sedimentary dynamics and morphodynamics

(6) Arctic and tropical tidal sedimentary systems and global change impacts

(7) Modification to tidal deposits by tsunami and other extreme events
